Interbay Pump Station Phase 2 Upgrade - King County, WA Bright Engineering, Inc. (BEI) is providing preliminary and final structural engineering design services and construction period engineering for Pump Drive replacement and discharge structure upgrade. In the initial phase, BEI conducted a review of existing structural framing plans and estimate of floor resonant frequencies; performing field vibration monitoring to determine resonant frequencies of pump, shaft, and pump support structures in order to establish the maximum drive motor speed for flow upgrade. The final design will consist of the following: Site inspection and evaluation of existing structure Preparation of demolition drawings Evaluation of existing pump station roof to support green roof and estimate LEED check list points Design of new generator building including ancilliary structures – transformer pad, generator pad, pipe supports, fuel tank tie down, noise walls, odor control equipment pad, and flow meter vault.
